With a population of 348,000 people, Christchurch is the main commercial centre of the South Island.
Christchurch, or “The Garden City” as it is commonly referred, is situated between the magnificent Southern Alps of New Zealand and the Pacific Ocean, approximately half way down the east coast of the South Island.
