Wellington, 16 December 2014 – CBRE has appointed Matt St Amand as the new Managing Director of its Wellington office.
This follows the appointment of Ryan Johnson to a new Australian role as Managing Director of CBRE’s North Sydney office. Mr Johnson will be relocating to Australia with his family in the New Year after a highly successful 10 year career as CBRE’s Wellington Managing Director.
CBRE Senior Managing Director, New Zealand, Brent McGregor said the appointments were consistent with the firm’s overriding focus on developing key talent and providing opportunities for people to build their careers at CBRE.
Mr Amand joined CBRE’s Capital Markets in June 2014, bringing over 20 years’ of experience in senior roles in the New Zealand market, including his prior position as Regional Manager Property Finance with ANZ Bank.
In the past six months, he has been working to develop CBRE’s Capital Advisors business in Wellington, with a specific emphasis on debt restructuring.
“Matt’s vast experience and skills have provided significant benefits to our clients, including insightful advice on debt restructuring,” Mr McGregor said.
“His diverse experience, proven leadership capabilities and outstanding reputation in the market made him the obvious successor for Ryan and I have no doubt his appointment will be very well received. I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish Ryan all the very best in his new role and to thank him for the significant contributions he has made to our New Zealand business over the past decade.”
