Ross Hancox joined CBRE after his role as CEO leading TelferYoung for eight years. He has an extensive career in senior roles working with major banks in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland, including most recently as the National Partner for Property Risk at a major New Zealand bank. During his time in these roles, Ross was active in deal structuring and approval of debt participation in larger, structured transactions across all property sectors.
Ross has a strong background in risk management disciplines having worked across a number of industries in his professional career, and is very well known within the New Zealand valuation industry. He has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and sat on several expert panels.
His experience is backed by various undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications including a Master of Applied Finance and Investment. Ross is a Fellow of both the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). He recently retired as Chairman of The Property Foundation after five years, remaining a sitting Board member, as well as Chairman of another charitable trust.
