What are you enjoying about the Program?  

The graduate program enables us to rotate amongst numerous business lines within the CBRE business allowing us to not only find where our passions lie, but also meet and work amongst a diverse range of teams.  

What have you learnt?  

Having come straight from Uni, my biggest learning would be my professional development where I have been able to apply my learnings into the real world, whilst further enhancing my skills whether that be through guidance from a buddy, mentor or senior leader.  

What do you like about working at CBRE?  

The culture! It feels like you are part of a bigger team and people are always willing to help you out and run through things no matter how minor.  

 

What are you enjoying about the Program?  

The ability to rotate between different business lines within CBRE. It’s been a great opportunity to further my knowledge within the Commercial Real Estate industry. The support from mentors and buddies has also been a great - the ability to chat to these individuals and pick their brains has been really helpful.  

What have you learnt?  

With my two rotations being in Office Occupier and Capital Markets – Hotels, I’ve had the ability to learn about two completely different areas of the business. Both areas have taught me the processes and skills required to be successful in each business line.  

What do you like about working at CBRE?  

The teams have been so welcoming and supportive. The wider support channels available are also great e.g. the mentor/mentee program, which has been a great platform to encourage connecting and building relationships with other business lines. Also, the NextGen program has been a platform has allowed me to connect with colleagues within the wider company.  

 

What are you enjoying about the Program?  

The program provided me with a seamless transition from university into the workforce. I’ve enjoyed meeting and learning from great people within the business, building useful connections within the industry and operating in a motivating team environment.  

What have you learnt?  

Having started the year being entirely new to a corporate environment, I have learned the factors and daily operational processes that makes a successful business operate. Particularly for commercial real estate, I have become accustomed to the multitude of tools and services CBRE can access and how these can be best utilised to service our clients.  

What has challenged you?  

Certainly, many times this year I have needed to embrace being out of my comfort zone through taking on new challenges. Broadening yourself out to new people and taking on new and complex tasks both bring with it new challenges. Despite this, you are able to get a lot out of these experiences and become more and more competent day-to-day.  

What do you like about working at CBRE?  

I like the great community of people throughout the business that make each day enjoyable. There are endless people around you who are always there to provide valuable lessons and insight that you can take forward with you throughout your career. I am surrounded by people with a huge pool of experience and get firsthand understanding as to how successful people communicate and operate. 

 

What are you enjoying about the Program?  

The graduate program offers a fantastic opportunity to be a part of multiple business lines, where I am involved in all aspects of work from client presentations, submissions etc. I enjoy being challenged with the tasks, going on the road with the agents to inspections, meetings and pitches. Furthermore, working across two business lines allows you to view what you like and what different business lines do on a day to day basis.  

What have you learnt?  

Networking and meeting with mentors that will help guide you in your career progression. This can be for both career advice and life advice. As a graduate, this is your opportunity to meet and greet all senior leaders with an open mind and evolve your personal brand to stand out as young professional within the company.  

What do you like about working at CBRE?  

The workplace culture, coming in as a graduate it is understandable to be viewed upon as ‘less’ or ‘unimportant’ however working at CBRE has been the complete opposite. CBRE provides a fantastic program for young professionals within the company by implementing a ‘Mentor/Mentee Program’ and having a ‘NextGen Program’ which supports guidance and networking within CBRE.
