Evan Gamby

A highly regarded valuer and property advisor, Evan Gamby has extensive experience over a wide range of property asset classes. With over 50 years in private practice, Evan's areas of specialisation include hospitals and medical premises, defective buildings including leaky buildings, commercial market asset, rental and insurance valuations.

Throughout his career, Evan has provided expertise as an arbitrator and mediator for rentals and valuation disputes including ground and commercial leases. He has given expert evidence before the High Court, District Court, Weathertight Homes Tribunal and private arbitrations.

Evan has been heavily involved in the property industry throughout his career; as a member and current Deputy Chair of the Valuers Registration Board of New Zealand. He has lectured on property and valuation at Unitec, the University of Auckland and Massey University. He has authored papers and articles for the New Zealand Valuers Journal, the Pan Pacific Congress of Real Estate Appraisers, Valuers and Counsellors and the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society of Property Academics (PRRES). He has presented at seminars and conferences in New Zealand and overseas for over 40 years.
