Michael Cocks

Michael is a Manager in the CBRE Structured Transactions & Advisory Services division (STAS), based in Auckland. In his role, he provides strategic transaction and advisory services to both public and private sector clients.

Michael’s key areas of expertise include large-scale residential development for both private sale and delivery to the Build-to-Rent, residential-led mixed-use development and existing residential investment markets. Throughout his time with CBRE, Michael has gained direct experience in providing strategic advisory services to the build-to-rent industry, which is strengthened by CBRE's market-leading research and Valuation Advisory Services in this space.

In addition to Michael’s role within the Structured Transactions & Advisory Services division, he works closely with both the Capital Markets and Debt and Structured Finance divisions on commercially sensitive and multifaceted projects. These projects range from helping investors and buyers acquire and dispose of commercial real estate as well as leveraging CBRE’s global expertise in real estate and financial markets to deliver complete funding solutions for clients.

Prior to joining CBRE, Michael worked as a financial manager for a South African-based residential and retail development company.
