CBRE is proud to announce that Kelly Beckett, Valuation & Advisory Services Director, has been awarded the prestigious Outstanding Valuation Contribution Award. This accolade was presented at the National Property Ball, held in Auckland on October 22, by the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV).

The award recognises Kelly’s exceptional contributions to the field of property valuation and her unwavering commitment to the profession.

The Outstanding Valuation Contribution Award recognises a valuer who has made significant contributions to the property industry, namely valuation. The award is open to all members who have been part of PINZ and NZIV for more than a year across all grades of membership, who have contributed to the institutes’ education programs or who have been involved with relevant branches, boards, councils, or committees.

A registered valuer since 2007, Kelly’s expertise and dedication have earned her the distinction of being made a Fellow of both PINZ and NZIV. These fellowships are a testament to her significant impact on the property profession and her active involvement across the industry.

Based in CBRE’s Auckland office, Kelly specialises in multi-unit residential projects, focusing mainly on high-end apartment developments throughout Auckland along with commercial properties in the fringe CBD and eastern suburbs. Her experience in valuation extends two decades. She has built strong relationships and gained a deep knowledge of the market, becoming one of the few valuation specialists in this niche market. Her clients are provided with valuation reports that are comprehensive, well-reasoned and backed up by evidence. This approach, paired with market-leading service, is something Kelly prides herself on.

As a passionate advocate for the property sector, Kelly dedicates a substantial amount of time to inspiring and mentoring individuals entering the industry. She has been a regular speaker at PINZ and Property Council events and is a guest lecturer at the University of Auckland. Her efforts have been instrumental in addressing the industry’s succession concerns and promoting property valuation as a career, particularly among women and students.

Within CBRE, Kelly is involved with numerous international leadership programs, including the Trans-Tasman ‘Leading with Impact’ initiative and the CBRE ‘Rising Professionals’ Asia-Pacific program. Kelly’s dedication to females joining the valuation profession is strongly reflected in her roles as the inaugural chair of the CBRE New Zealand Women in Property national committee and the secretary of the Fee Earning Women’s Committee. These roles highlight her commitment to creating an equal workplace and supporting women in their career development.

“We are incredibly proud of Kelly’s achievements and her well-deserved recognition with the Outstanding Valuation Contribution Award,” said Campbell Stewart, Managing Director of Valuation & Advisory Services, New Zealand at CBRE. “Her contributions have not only elevated the standards of our profession but have also inspired many within the industry.”
