CBRE Group, Inc. announced today that it has completed its full transition of TelferYoung into the CBRE brand.

Following CBRE’s acquisition of the independent property valuation and advisory firm in July 2022, TelferYoung took on the transitional name of ‘TelferYoung from CBRE’ while the full integration with CBRE got underway.

Since then, our Auckland CBD offices have combined and our Wellington business will be under one roof from 1 October, whilst plans are well advanced for our single Christchurch office.

Andrew Stringer, Senior Managing Director, CBRE New Zealand, said the integration of the businesses has been undertaken with the team and clients in mind. “We wanted a seamless transition where clients continued to receive excellent service from the 20 plus New Zealand locations whilst we brought together some of our systems and processes behind the scenes.

The union of the two teams has almost doubled the number of CBRE’s New Zealand staff and tripled its Valuation and Advisory staff, across 23 wholly owned offices providing valuation and advisory services across rural, residential, industrial, commercial, retail and infrastructure assets.

Andrew Stringer said it has been wonderful to see the teams working together as one and now that they all share the CBRE standalone brand with systems and processes in common, they can deliver even more for clients.

“We’re seeing the complementary strengths of the companies’ valuation teams and resources in play, and with the additional footprint around the country we are very proud of what we can achieve for our clients now and we are very excited for the future.

Andrew Stringer said, “the TelferYoung acquisition has diversified our footprint, client type and capability, adding a residential offering to our strong New Zealand commercial valuations business. It has also provided us with capabilities in areas such as agriculture and tourism, which are mainstays of the New Zealand economy.”

CBRE Valuation and Advisory Services is jointly headed by Campbell Stewart and Ross Hancox. Ross previously headed TelferYoung as CEO and the pair have worked closely to integrate their respective resources and teams.
